Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)

Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) is measuring the amount of RF energy absorbed by human tissue from a radio transmitter.  Governmental bodies such as the FCC have their own separate RF limits that must be met before gaining access to the market.  For example, depending on product specification, the FCC requires products used within 20 cm from the head or body to undergo SAR testing.

CETECOM Inc. is capable of performing SAR measurements according to U.S., Canadian, European, and Australian standards for devices operating within the frequencies of 800MHz and 6GHz.  Such standards are accepted in most countries in the world.

A non-toxic, proprietary recipe used in the set up for the 5GHz range was developed by CETECOM Inc.  This special blend provides consistent and accurate results.
